NRA can not Dictate 307 Mil Americans: Ban all Weapons of Mass Destruction

4 MIL NRA MEMBERS CAN NOT DICTATE 307 MIL AMERICANS
BAN ALL AR-15 TYPE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION
In 1994 President Clinton banned Assault weapons. In 2000 after the 1999 Columbine High School massacre federal and state passed the laws to ban high-capacity magazines and strict background checks at gun shows. The law made it a crime to buy guns for criminals and minors.
"In April 1999 during the Columbine High School massacre; 12 students & 1 teacher was shot dead and 21 students were injured. The Gunmen; 2 senior students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold both were eqipped with semi-autometic weapons with high capacity magazines and later both of them committed suicide with their own guns.
In 2004 President Bush the domestic pet of war industry lifted the ban on Assault weapons. Since then 6 mass murder incident has happened; First, in March 2005 when 6 students, 2 School officials were shot dead at Red Lake High School in Minnesota and before that the 16yrs old gunman Jeff Weise shot dead his grand father and his girl friend. Second, in April 2007 at Virginia Tech 32 dead and 17 wounded making it the deadliest shooting incident by a single gunman in U.S. history. Third, in Jan. 2011 Congresswoman Gabby Giffards was critically injured by a gunshot wound to the head; thirteen people were injured and six others were killed in the shooting, among them federal judge John Roll by a lone gunman Jared Loughner. Fourth, Aurora Theater shooting in July 2012 in that 12 dead and 58 injured (11 critically). Fifth, on August 5, 2012 at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin 6 dead, first ever gun massacre in any Sikh Temple in US history. Now Sixth and the latest on Dec. 7, 2012 in Newtown 20 kids age 6-7 dead and 6 adult dead due to the use of weapon of mass destruction.
When we are going to wake up? How many more incidents of massacre by Guns, we wants to see? British banned assault weapons right after the deadly shooting of 16 kindergarten-age children and their teachers in March 1996 by Thomas Hamilton. Australian's banned assault weapons in 1996 with in 12 days of the shooting spree in the southern state of Tasmania that killed 35 people. In all the 6 mass murders in America the Killers used a similar AR-15 type rapid firing weapon. We have done nothing since 2005.
We can learn from 1958 Gun Law of Japan. The only guns that Japanese citizens can legally buy and use are shotguns and air rifles, and it's not easy to do. Even Israel where citizens are prone to Terrorist attacks it is very difficult to get a gun. After 60 days training and mental health evaluation one gets 50 Bullets as life time supply.
What is wrong with us the Americans; that even after 6 mass killings since 2005, we are still having a debate whether to ban the weapons of mass destructions or not? How come 4 million National Rifle Association (NRA) members have more rights than 307 million Americans? Our politicians are hiding behind their cowardice or may be want to protect their financial supporters the NRA/gun industry rather than ensuring the well being and security of Americans.
After AIPAC & its numerous Pro Israel affiliates; NRA is one of the richest and most powerful lobby in Washington. They contribute heavily to political candidates to enlist their support against any kind of ban on assault weapons. NRA is also responsible in taming the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) that enforces gun laws. NRA oppose the access of ATF to a database to trace weapons and national gun registry. The ATF agents have no statutory authority; even the number of times they can visit a dealer is restricted. The ATF’ budget has been flat for years and has been without a permanent administrator since Bush presidency because of the NRA’s opposition.
Those who are hiding behind 2ND Amendment should be ashamed of themselves; it is not American rather it is unpatriotic to support weapons of mass destruction. We must look at the death rate by Guns in UK that is 35 per year to our almost 12,000 gun related deaths per year.
Ban on rapid fire assault weapons has nothing to do with 2ND Amendment or guns for sports and hunting. Even the 2ND Amendment is being misinterpreted the world “State Militia” means “State Police” not the Lanza or Page or Holmes or Loughner or Cho or Wiese. The Gun Lobby is free to keep their Air Rifles & Shot Guns minus the high capacity magazines.
NRA's reaction more guns against guns on the recent brutal killing of 20 children age 6-7 is most inhuman, lacks empathy. Their suggestion that each school in America should have Armed Gaurds is most insane suggestion. There are more than 135,000 schools in USA; the security tag for it could be well over $25 Billion per annum. How and who will pay for it, there is no word from NRA on this issue.
We have became a Banana Republic with over 300 milion weapons for 311 million Americans. This is despite the fact United States has more Police Officers than anywhere else in the world. More than 32% US household have multiple guns including AR-15 type weapons of mass destruction. There are amost 140,000 GUN DEALERS as compared to 14,000 McDonalds & 56,000 Grocery stores in entire America. We must understand that the lives of our children and citizens is more sacred than Guns. We must ban all kind of weapons of mass destructions and high capacity magazines.
